BoDog Staff Profiles 5: Suzy's Day on the Water...

It’s been pretty crazy around BoDog lately. We’ve been working ‘round the clock to get the new and improved BoDog.com website ready to go for the NFL Pre-Season this week. Everyone is working hard, especially the tech guys, and they are very excited to see what people think about the new site they’ve worked so hard and long on!

A few weeks ago a reporter from ESPN’s The Magazine was here to do a write up on BoDog and how our operation works. They didn’t want to talk to the ‘junior girl’ in the marketing department but they did talk to our tech god, Carl, and our President Rob! Just like the article said, Carl may not know anything about NFL teams but he sure knows how to make a website!

But all work and no play make Suzy-Q a very dull girl. To celebrate the launch of the new site my girlfriends and I decided to let off a little steam. We started by having some lunch at this totally cool bar at Granville Island, which is a funky little market and artsy district. Imagine the eight of us, in our shorts and bikini tops, at lunch getting ready to spend a day at the beach here in Vancouver. Heads were turning!

Some of the girls were dressed in the soon to be released BoDog-Wear that I helped the marketing department design. We made up some really cool BoDog Girl outfits (My own outfit! How cool is that!), shorts, tops, awesome baseball hats, and shirts. We even made up some BoDog shot glasses with our logo. Now it was like there was an army of BoDog Girls! And we looked so hot!

We met a few guys at the bar who bought us some drinks. One of them noticed the BoDog logo and mentioned that he and his friends were all bettors. They were pretty excited to meet BoDog Girl in the flesh, and I was pretty psyched about hanging with some actual bettors. Now that I’m in marketing, I don’t get to talk to the players like I used to in the wager center, which is a total bummer. Getting to hang out with bettors is like being in Las Vegas with the coolest people!

They invited us for an afternoon on their friend, “Captain Pete’s”, boat. That was an easy decision to make…and Pete owns this unbelievable powerboat! We piled on and Pete and his friends took us out around the harbor! The weather was so beautiful, and after the guys made their last minute picks over the phone to the wager center (they were betting baseball, taking heavy action against the Yankees!), we settled in for a rockn’ cruise. Martini’s, beers, and cigars were all on the menu.

The ‘50 Cent was pumping, and the drinks were flowing! I was so happy my best friend Heather, who was in Vancouver for the first time in ages, was along for the trip. She and I couldn’t keep our hands off each other. She looked real sexy in her bikini, and even better in her BoDog Girl outfit. And she’s the most fun person to make-out with! All the girls totally loved the clothes-I think BoDog might have to go into the clothing business!

When Baltimore managed to beat Roger Clemens and the Yankees the party really got rocking! The guys were pumped up because they won big! The next thing you know, shots of tequila started flowing. One thing that I always love, and I learned this when I was in Costa Rica, is to have a real nice, chilled, shot of tequila. And the rest of the “BoDog Girls” love it now too!

The weather was hot, the girls were sexy, and drinks icy cold. This is what summer is all about. And the new BoDog-Wear? Well, all my girlfriends looked great, didn’t they? I wish I could do this every week.

Well maybe I can, Captain Pete has already asked that we come back for another day on the boat. Like they really had a choice, we are their new lucky charms, so whenever they want to make a big day of wagers, they’ll need to give BoDog Girl a call! We hit the club scene after we came back to land and got pretty wild, there was a pretty sexy pillow fight later too, but that story will have to wait for another time as I have a big marketing meeting to attend!

I can’t wait for the NFL Pre-season to really get cooking and with the first Monday Night Football game kicking off, it’s getting pretty exciting. The Hall of Fame Game between the Packers and Chiefs is a great way to kick it up a notch and get ready for the regular season. And I’ll talk to y’all real soon…
