There is another book on the market about online gambling, and this time it's simply called Gambling on the Internet.  Gambling on the Internet, by Geoff Magnum, is a pocket-sized paperback selling for $9.95 that is an easy read for a newcomer to the online gambling community.  Written with the idea of getting the traditional brick and mortar player online, it covers the basics from finding a casino to general online overviews on most aspects of placing a wager on the net.

Magnum takes a jaundiced view of gambling in general when he starts his book with the caveat "gambling may be hazardous to your wealth", a funny introduction for a book that is meant to help with the transition from terrestrial gambling to cyber gambling, but is none the less a reasonable statement warning readers that gambling is indeed for entertainment rather than for profit.  Luckily, the rest of the book takes a much more positive view.

The book will undoubtedly help novices find their first online casino, and will guide them to a whole array of casino related sites that offer gambling, news, tips and strategies.  With a few notable exclusions, Magnum has covered just about every base in pointing his reader in the right direction for doing their homework on the industry and on key resources.  Likewise, he has given forthright advice on the pros and cons of the various resources he recommends.  The most useful pieces of information that seasoned online gamblers will take away from this book are the lists of free betting analysis sites and the candid information on cyber horse racing is a major betting arena that is too often overlooked by American gamblers.
